01

Acceptance of terms

Using the service is agreeing to it.

By clicking "I Agree", or by using the Services to purchase or manage a ticket, you affirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TKT Systems Ltd under the laws of the Republic of Uganda.

02

Eligibility

18, or with a guardian who has agreed.

To use the Services you must be:

  • At least 18 years old; or
  • Using the Services with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, for example at a school or youth event.

TKT may request proof of age or consent, and reserves the right to cancel tickets purchased in violation of this clause.

03

Ticket purchases

Final sale, organiser-set transfers, and what is in the price.

All sales are final. Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the event organiser, or required under Ugandan law, all ticket purchases are non-refundable.

Ticket transfer policies are set by the event organiser. Some tickets may be non-transferable, or carry time-based restrictions.

Ticket prices are determined by the event organiser and may include:

  • TKT service fees, as a percentage of the ticket price.
  • Payment processing fees, for mobile money and card gateways.
  • Applicable VAT (18%) and Withholding Tax (WHT).

All prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings unless otherwise stated. If purchasing from outside Uganda, prices may be converted using prevailing exchange rates, and your bank or payment provider may apply additional charges.

Purchase limits and anti-scalping:

  • Per-person limits. Each event may set a maximum number of tickets per individual.
  • Unauthorised resale is prohibited. Reselling outside the official TKT exchange is not permitted.
  • Circumvention is prohibited. Bots, scripts, proxies, multiple accounts or similar means are not permitted.
  • Enforcement. Breaches may result in ticket cancellation without refund, denial of entry, and account or device blocks.
  • The official exchange is available only where it is enabled for that event.
04

Event organiser responsibility

TKT is the platform, not the promoter.

TKT is a technology platform and is not the event organiser. We do not produce, manage or control events, and are not responsible for event quality, changes in schedule, cancellations or venue logistics.

Claims relating to the event itself must be directed to the organiser.

05

Account responsibility

Your details, your credentials, your account.

  • Keep your contact details accurate and current.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us at info@ticket.ug immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
06

Prohibited conduct

What ends a ticket, an account, or both.

You must not:

  • Commit fraud or attempt chargeback abuse.
  • Resell tickets without the official exchange enabled.
  • Exceed purchase limits, or use bots or scripts to circumvent them.
  • Tamper with ticket data or create counterfeits.
  • Interfere with platform functionality or security.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Engage in unlawful behaviour while using the platform.

Violations may result in cancellation, denial of entry, account blocks and legal action.

07

Event entry and ticket verification

What happens at the gate.

Your ticket will be scanned at the venue. Ensure your device is charged and the ticket is clearly visible. Organisers may require identification, or the contact details used for the purchase.

Tickets flagged as invalid may be denied entry, cancelled or confiscated without refund.

08

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

The organiser's policy decides; we process.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will notify you using your account details.

Refunds depend on the organiser's policy. TKT only processes refunds when instructed and funded by the organiser. We are not liable for additional costs such as travel or accommodation.

09

Liability disclaimer

What we do not warrant.

The Services are provided "as is". We do not guarantee ticket availability, event occurrence, or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, TKT disclaims liability for event-related issues, third-party failures and consequential damages. We are not liable for force majeure events outside our control.

10

Privacy

Processed under Ugandan data protection law.

We collect and use your data under our Privacy Policy. By using our Services you consent to processing under Ugandan law, including the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
